You don't need a job to be in a relationship. And I'm not sure what you want to get done but it's probably stuff you could do if you're in a relationship.

Sounds like you want everything to be picture perfect with you before you are ready for a relationship. If you do that, you will never be in a relationship. My advice, pull the trigger and jump in! :-)

Because manly men are never afraid of snakes.

I wear tight jeans, listen to and produce electropop, and will be seeing one of the three partners (women, to specify) I'm currently with in about an hour. They all know about each other and either don't mind or are actively down with the arrangement.

But you know, clearly my jeans are an issue.

(Yes, yes, I realize how silly I look bragging, but I'm trying to prove a point about this ridiculous stereotyping. Gender normative values are BORING and dated.)

Tight jeans, not the same as skinny jeans lol. And I never said there was a problem with it. Some chicks are into that.

And I wasn't knocking your music, the joke just worked.

    Hah, sorry.

I just get annoyed when people ascribe things to masculinity and sexual success that I find fall in the range between silly and offensive.

And yeah, dubstep suffers from copy+paste syndrome, the same as the Drum n' Bass I used to favor in college. The best joke I've read about it was somebody's signature on MFK (monsterfishkeepers) that said something along the lines of:

"If I wanted to listen to dubstep I'd plug in my 28.8 modem."

The same way you think it's ridiculous that wearing skinny jeans makes you less of a man. I think the idea of someone being able to get multiple females at the same time some how makes them more masculine is equally ridiculous.

His joke was literally that peoples' balls have not dropped. If mine hadn't, that'd be a limiting factor for sex, no? I was addressing the joke directly.

And I pointed out how ridiculous I look. I'm aware of that, as I said it in the original post.

My point is that masculinity, as a cliche and related to finding a "snake loving girl", is outdated and useless. Clearly I'm not trying to prove I'm more masculine, because I'm certainly not, and not interested in being viewed as such.

In short, traditional masculine characteristics are not necessary for romantic or sexual success, regardless of what defines success for you.

A female opinion on the skinny jeans on boys.... not attractive at all. They are the most ridiculous looking things. Scrawny guys that I could carry more/ work harder than? Also not attractive. Sorry. Just not my opinion of attractive.

And to the dude pointing out he "has 3 women" if you realize it's ridiculous, and weren't trying to brag, why even post that?

Mephi, like Mike said, be honest. Let her know what you have going on. You can always start as friends, and build towards a relationship if you feel you aren't ready. And while having a job might not be a "requirement" for a relationship, being responsible and stable is a good place to start (not sure how old you are, if you are old enough to have a place of your own?).
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Re: looking for a snake loving girl

Heres the thing I don't want to get this thread off topic but I feel compelled to respond...

There is a massiv difference between what girls want and what women want. Girls want whats in fashion and trendy and women want maturity and a man. Men don't wear skinny jeans because they are impractical. They might look stylish and show off your muscular legs (thats why they are tight right not because they are cut for women because anatomically women are built different from men). Good luck bending over or crouching or moving in any manner that requires work. Yes women still like a sharp dressed man but that doesn't include super restrictive attire and constant plumber crack without actually being capable of said plumbing.

Second sexual success has nothing to do with being a man. In fact typically girls enjoy such relations when being young and wild. Sadly many men do feel that scoring is the definition of manliness and thats one of the major issues with the world. I congratulate you on your polygamous relationship youve obviously benefitted from the modern trend of "who cares just have fun." I can guarantee without a doubt in my mind your relationships are not 100% fulfilling in the nature to which a relationship was meant to be. You can be the most amazing man in the world and you won't be able to contribute the time effort or attention for the emotional mental and social support that is involved. To think otherwise is a limited understanding of what a relationship is.

I could write a book on this topic. But its probably not worth it. I've erased other verbage because I don't want this to spill over. Men nowadays are just as, if not moreso, feminine than many women. And it rears its ugly head more and more every year. The next few decades should be fun, I can't wait to see the next generation of kids.
