    Help classifying my ball pythons morph

    Hello i have a "Citrus pastel bp 66% ghost" I dont know much about the citrus gene can anyone explain to me how the citrus gene is classified or where it comes from?[IMG][/IMG]

    Citrus pastel, like lemon pastel, are both different lines of the pastel gene. I think citrus pastel runs a bit brighter than the standard pastel gene.

    citrus pastel is a specific line of pastel, and its compatible with regular pastel. (so if you want to make a super pastel with this and any other pastel, it will work). this line is supposed to look brighter and nicer than regular pastel, and often it does, and your BP looks like a nice and bright pastel, judging from the one picture we have.

    ghost = hypo, at least in this case. its a recessive, so you dont see it, and we cannot tell. you need two copies of a recessive gene, one from each parent, to make a visual recessive. your BP has a 66% chance of carrying one copy of the gene, and a 33% chance to not have it. there is no visual difference, but it would be important for future breeding. for a pet, it makes no difference.
