Dry scale question

Hi,

As the burn heals it could certainly affect the scales - a picture would help give better advice.

But I will say all snakes are capable of moving the substrate so the answer isn't to change the substrate but to lower the thermostat setting and use a thinner layer.

In the meantime before you get the thermostat you could try using a lamp dimmer as a short term solution if your room temps are fairly stable.
