    Help Please

Hello, Last week my daughters and I bought a baby Ball Python (Nagini). She is the sweetest little thing in the world! She is eating F/T fuzzy mice and has been such a pleasure. I was wondering if anyone here could help tell me exactly what type of BP she is. I was told from the shop that she is a Butter/Lesser. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!!!![IMG][/IMG]

If thats what the shop told you what makes you think any differently or doubt them?

Looks more like just a lesser to me but I have NO experience with the butter morph.

Its not that i don't believe them, I just thought a Lesser/Butter was like an either one or the other morph. Is a Lesser/Butter the same as a regular Lesser?

I believe lesser and butter are effectively the exact same gene, just different lineages. In my little experience on this forum, the more yellowy ones tend to get called butters, and the less colorful are the lessers. I prefer lessers myself. Personally not a fan of the yellow, but your baby is very pretty.

Yes it's basically the same gene, just different lines.

Fuzzy mice are too small a prey item for her, they can eat hoppers right out of the egg. She may even be up to weanlings by now. How much does she weigh?

the genes are so similar that when you breed a lesser to a butter, you have no way to identify if the hatchlings are lessers or butters.

and there is no evidence that they are different genes. they behave exactly the same in all possible morph combinations.

because of this, many people just call them lesser/butter.

so the shop told the truth, and i have to say thats a really beautiful BP.
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.
If you disagree, send me a PM.

The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.
