Nighttime temperature drops or not?

I've heard a lot of mixed messages about dropping bp enclosure temperatures at night. Some websites say that it isn't worth the risk of RI's, but other sites say it allows the snakes to better adjust to daytime/nighttime schedules and that a drop of only a couple degrees (say 90 to 86) wouldn't pose much threat.
If the information helps at all, I have a 4-tub adult rack with one adult (700g), one larger juvie (250g), and a little guy (around 150g).

Any opinions/experiences?

No need. Some drop temps at night during breeding season though.

I agree. There's no need. I would only drop temps during breeding.

I don't drop temps ever. Even for breeding, temps stay the same.
Not worth the risk of RI or the trouble.

I always night drop. I have been breeding ball pythons since 2002 that way and I have never had a ball python with RI.

I don't. Why bother? Just makes more work for you, and more likelihood of an RI for your BP.
However, if your house naturally drops at night (but the ambient still stays where it needs to be; around 80F give or take) then I don't see much of an issue there. Mine usually drops about 2F or so at night.

Other species do much better with night time drops, because it is in their natural habitat - thinking more Western/local species, such as some colubrids (corn/rat snakes). If there is natural light in the vicinity of your enclosure - but not direct sunlight, obviously - or an added day light, then I don't really see how a night time drop would aid in the snake's day/night cycle.
But, just my opinion.
