So has anyone used linoleum flooring, and would you be able to use flexwatt between the flooring and linoleum to create a hotspot? Building a custom set up out of maple plywood, trying to figure out my heating options. Also anyone know what kind of paint you could use on the inside of an enclosure that isn't harmful to snakes?

Yes you can use linoleum and yes you can place the flexwatt under it. Only downside is the flexwatt becomes a semi permanent fixture in the enclosure. Virtually any paint can be safe as long as it is fully cured. Also as an extra step in safety you can seal it with polycrylic.
