Getting a Rainbow Boa by next week. I just have little bit of question's and any kind of advice will be great? He is a 2-3ft baby

Can he/she be kept in a Tub all their life like Ball Pythons?

What should the tub Temp be? Hot/Cold/Humidity?

An Adult, what should the appropriate meal be?

Sorry on my phone, typing fast, sorry not giving much detail's in questions.

Can he/she be kept in a Tub all their life like Ball Pythons? Yes, I am planning to make a rack designed for the 65 or 74 quart under bed tubs for mine eventually.

What should the tub Temp be? Hot/Cold/Humidity? Low mid-70's, high no more than 85-86, higher than 88 can be lethal. Humidity around 70% for adults, 80% for juveniles, 90% for hatchlings. Because of the required humidity I wouldn't attempt to use a tank as an enclosure for it.

An Adult, what should the appropriate meal be? Small or medium rats no larger around than the snake's girth. Mine take f/t and as with all boas do not overfeed them.

I love my three and they are awesome snakes. While the adults are fine with being handled, babies can be nippy until they figure out that you're not going to hurt them.

Not to be rude, but why wouldn't you research a snake and it's husbandry before you had one coming? So many people jump head first into new snakes. Then wonder why they aren't doing well for them.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

A local woman is letting him go and she has no where to take it, so I offer since she knows me and my husband has ball pythons. I've did some research on Boa's I guess I'am looking for advice, but figure to ask some random questions.

Are you also getting his enclosure, hides, etc. or just the snake?
