Banana / Coral glow makers

I dont have either a banana or coral glows yet hoping to get one or a combo this coming season.

How does the maker thing work? I understand a little bit. A male maker 90% of the banana/coral glows the snake produces would be male.

The bit i am not sure of is the offspring.

If a male (male maker) sires a clutch, would all the banana/coral glows babies be male makers, or just the males or females or none.

Can you also buy female banana or coral glow which are makers?

If a male banana/CG made the male, it is a male maker, which means 90% (or w/e %) of the banana/CG offspring will be male, thus making 90% of non-banana/CG offspring female

If a female banana/CG made the male it is a female maker, which means 90% of the banana/CG offspring will be female, thus making 90% of non-banana/CG offspring male

Females and non-banana/CG produce normal sex ratios, doesn't matter what produced them.

do female makers exist? ive never heared about banana/CG males that mostly produce female banana/CG. i only know there are male-makers.

also i think the mechanism is not understood at all, like, how is it even genetically possible? for a while i believed it has to do with the gender determining chromosomes, the "W" and "Z" chromosome, but that idea did lead to contradictions and had to go.

its annoying that we dont seem to be able to figure it out. if you get a male hatchling from a female banana/CG, which is the offspring of a male-maker male, will it be another male maker? do we know if it has to do with epigenetics, or can we rule it out?

i think its the biggest mystery in BP breeding right now.

yes female maker exist, it was all that existed for a long time, until someone actually popped out a male, then the male maker explosion happened. As far as the mechanics, honestly no one has a complete answer I have read and it baffles me also. Everyone wants to yell out it's sex linked, but what I listed above is not the mechanics of something sex linked, but sex obviously plays a factor in some unknown way. Add it to the list of terms we use wrong.

Yes all that is correct. Only a few super bananas have been made, I haven't heard an update about their breeding records. I don't know if there has been any more information since Mike posted this, but he has a theory on how the supers will work in this video...

To simply it a bit, females throw normal sex ratios.

When a female banana produces a male, that hatchling male is a female maker.

When a male banana produces a male, that hatchling male is a male maker.

At the beginning of the morphs, I know that the original import banana female produced only female bananas in the first few clutches that I heard about, and the import white smoke male only produced one clutch before it died but both coral glows that it produced were female. What do current females produce?

I've only had a few clutches from banana females but I have produced both male and female bananas, I think 2.4.
