Too much locking??? Is it possible?
I recently picked up a proven normal female and put my virgin pastel in with her. He was in there 2 weeks then out 2 weeks and back in 2 weeks. No visual locks and he didn't even seen interested. He is a little young, but was told he was probably big enough to breed (700 G).
That's not really my question, I recently picked up a proven Mystic Male so decided to put him with her. Visual lock within 3 or 4 hours and there have only been a few times over the last 4 days that they have NOT been locked. She even shed, and I'm not even sure they unlocked for that Should I take him out of there, or let them keep going at it? This is my only female big enough to breed, so I don't need him for something else if that matters.

Its still good to give him a break. I have heard that males that are overbred will have lower sperm counts, kinda like humans. So if you can get the same results and give him a break why not give him a break.

I breed my females once a month, there really isn't a reason to breed more often.

Pretty much the same here, I normally do once per shed.

Ok, thanks. I just know I wouldn't appreciate it if someone "Lock-Blocked" me.
