    Rat Food Waste Prevention

I am looking to make a wire mesh container to hold the food but am curious if the 1/4" wire mesh has big enough holes for the rats to still get the food out, or do I need to get 1/2". What size wire mesh do yall use? Thanks!

Rats can get food from either 1/4 and 1/2 but the half would be easier

1/2" mesh if you are using the lab blocks, big dog food or big pellets. 1/4" for small pellets, average dog food, or a "natural" mix.

    Hope that helps!
