Just got the call confirming IBD....

I just got the call from the vet that my very first and favorite snake has IBD. We take her in Sunday to be put to sleep.... I have had one of my ball pythons die a few months after I got him and I was sad and I still miss him but I never knew it would hurt this bad to lose her. Maybe it is because I had to actually pick a date and time for it to happen. I feel terrible. I don't know if this the right spot to be posting this but I just had to get it off my chest...

As for the beauty named Lestat(we thought she was a boy and just found out she was a girl after two years of having her) this is her....

Re: Just got the call confirming IBD....

I'm so sorry. I had to euthanise my favorite corn snake when I had an outside animal crop up with Crypto (after 6 months quarantine..) that was in the same juvenile rack as she. I ended up bringing 13 animals to my work for the vet to euthanise. It was the worst time ever. The suckiest part is THEY all came back crypto negative. -_-

    *hugs*

Very sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy, harder still when we have to make that kind of decision. Very sorry.
