    You do not need a vet for mites unless you want to waste money, get a can of Provent-a-mite, use as directed, renew 2 weeks later and you will be mite free.

    It will take care of the mites and eggs for you.

    Avoid so called homemade remedy, such as betadine, dish soap etc, they do nothing against eggs.

    You should always have a can handy and treat any new future acquisition in the future as well while in QT.
