Good to know! - I didn't know if I was fed incorrect information. The last thing I would want to do is put my new guy/gal (I don't know the gender yet) in jeopardy.

Thats great! Looking forward to seeing pictures of her growth and her permanent enclosure! The filtered soaking tub sounds awesome! My husband is building our tegu's permanent enclosure and he's talking about plumbed in water (for soaking tub) as well!

The breeder we are getting the tegu from told us the temporary enclosure we have now will be good until AFTER his next hibernation (5' X 3' X 3'), it gives us time but we plan on making sure his enclosure is completely finished by this fall, just before he hibernates.

Substrate can be expensive for such a large enclosure. We originally wanted his tank full of coconut husk coarse chips,but it would have cost way too much money. We have decided to still use 50% coconut husk and 50% eco earth.
