screw them and go to a different insurance company. a better one.
of course you can also lawyer up and hassle them, and cause them to fold, if that is one of your hobbies. i would still switch to a different company.
its not like a life insurance or private pension plan where you need a long-term relationship with one company. you pay each month/year to cover the risk of certain things happening within that month/year. so if they give you the middle finger, you have no reason to stay with them.
