Best substrate to use in tubs

Hey guys i currently use paper towels in the tubs in my rack but my snakes are putting on size and easily make a mess of it, moving it everywhere. What else can I use? I don't want to use aspen or anything like that for it's messy and hard to keep clean

I use this for my larger cages (put down newspaper first then the brown paper over it for more absorbency): some still move it all over but overall it stays in place pretty well: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Trimaco-3...5140/202040749

I use kraft paper (brown stuff) but I used the indented kind. It has little bumps which helps with shedding. It's not flat and smooth.

Snake makes a mess and I roll it up, spray & clean and insert a new sheet. Very quick.

I use paper towels its the easiest and cheapest thing i found. Started with aspen then went to eco earth now all my tubs have paper towel substrate ill probably switch to the brown paper soon

easier to take an roll up paper the and clean the enclosure then to change out substrate for me. Also its cheaper for me to buy paper then its is for me to buy substrate

I can see cheaper, but for me the aspen is only a spot clean with a full dump once a month.

I've not used the paper, but it'd think it'd be less time spent just grabbing poo and surrounding aspen than relaying the entire paper.

We all have our own ways though, the paper does seem easier when it comes to full dumps.

I use unprinted newspaper, it's super easy, and absorbs pee like no other. Also it seems to keep heat better than PT's
