Okay so I thought I was a snake expert until my new ball python struck at me. This snake was born in 11/2013. I've only had him for a week and I haven't bothered him at all, except for spraying the tank. However, today while spraying he struck at my hand. This was the first time he was out of his hide while I sprayed. Do you think the spray scared him? Maybe I'm a little shocked because my previous ball python NEVER struck at me. I have no idea how too approach the situation.
Ohh and he is currently in the "S" position....![]()

just let him settle and try not to disturb him. Once he settles and starts eating for you consistently you can begin to handle him and get him used to you.
