Good point and shoot camera with great video quality?
Hello! I'm in need of a camera and was wondering if any of the BP.net users know of any Point and shoot cameras that take exceptional quality photos as well as great quality videos? Thanks!

Re: Good point and shoot camera with great video quality?
I have a sony cybershot that I think takes some super nice pics and records video in HD. It's from 3-4 years ago. Not real good with long distance shots and it's a 10 or 12 megapixel camera. I know the 14 MP cameras came out a year after I got mine so better quality is definitely on the market.
Some sample pics are in this thread: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...yrate%27s+pets

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DSC-RX100...rds=sony+rx100
Rx100 by sony is best bang for the buck in point and shoots right now . . .
If you don't want to spend 500, you are not going to get "amazing" results by any means. But you can still get good results. . .
Search eBay for a Fuji x10 and you'll get nice photos with it, but only meh on the video. . .
under 300 look for Canon Digital Elph, most of those are good, avoid the 150 and lower ones, they generally offer quite poor performance IMO
