    Question Blue hue?

My ball python (Dave) has a blue hue. Someone please tell me that's normal? I know it isn't a shedding thing because even after he sheds it's there. I'm kind of new to this.

What kind of ball python? Some ghost or hypo morphs will look blue hued.

    Pictures will be great.

    Re: Blue hue?

I have a normal ball and the top of his head has a blue hue to it even after he sheds. So I'm guessing it's common but not positive. His last shed was complete so I don't think it's abnormal. Looking forward to seeing what kind of replies you get. He was advertised as a normal when I bought him.

The black scales of a normal can be slightly iridescent. So maybe that is what you are seeing.

    Re: Blue hue?

It must be for mine at least. I only see it on the top of his head where the black is most prominent.

I managed to catch a good picture of it on one of mine a few years ago.
