    Snake Dropping Weight

Hey guys... so I have a young female cinnamon who, when I got her, weighed about 220g. She's only 3-4 months old. I feed her 1 adult feeder, twice a week. She dropped weight and then gained a little back, and then dropped it again. As of last night, she is 171g. I don't know what's going on with her. I keep her in a tub. Her temps stay consistent at 75-80 on the cool side and 88-92 on the warm side. She has two identical hides as well. Any ideas? TIA!

Maybe you initially weighed her while she was literally full of crap. Lol.

Try weighing her after she sheds and poops and that will give you her true weight. If you weight them a couple of days after they eat, it will give you a heavier weight than your BP really is.

She is eating regularly right? Perhaps you need to increase the size of her prey. Or possibly test her for parasites.
How often do you weigh her? Does she poop often? Pooping can make a pretty significant difference in baby weight. Weighing right after a feed can make her seem heavier too.

She definitely could have been full of poop the first time I weighed her. She has shed since I got her and pooped regularly. I weigh her every 10 days or so.

If she has good body condition and doesn't look thin, I wouldn't worry about it.
