    Regurgitation

Just fed my BP and my foolish mistake was handling him too soon after feeding him to put his hide back in his tank. His neck starts ballooning as his mouth opens, and this has occurred a few times during my observation. He's moving around a lot, in an explorative way as I'm used to seeing, but not directly after feeding (he will go under his hide to digest). Nothing has worked its way out of him as of yet, but as this is my first time experiencing a possible regurgitation, would someone please educate me on what to expect and how to follow up after a regurge? Please and thank you!

If he does regurge, just clean it up, then leave him completely alone for two weeks. No handling except for enclosure maintenance. Wait at least two weeks before you try to feed him again. A regurge is pretty hard on their system.

Right now, I haven't noticed anymore balloon neck. He is still moving around a lot, acting restless. Could it be awhile before he regurgitates, and after awhile (say 48 hrs) he doesn't, is it safe to assume he digested it and to follow the regular feeding schedule?

Now he's laying under his hide. Good sign?

He should of have done it by now if he was going to. I had to deal with it once before and it wasn't fun. But I waited around 11 days, fed again and there hasn't been an issue since.

    Update?

Did everything work out? My new BP (about 2 feet) was getting a fuzzie feeder twice a week when I got him. He refused his first mouse in his new home a little over a week ago (I tried a small feeder because the seller said he was ready for them), but he took a fuzzie they gave me last Monday. He took another one this morning, but he regurged it. Maybe it was too soon Also, one of the points of confusion I have is how hot the water should be that's used to thaw frozen feeders out. I don't think the fuzzie was too hot, I try to be careful...

    Thanks

    Regurgitation

Yes, everything worked out though it stressed me to see my snake stressed; he kept it down, and hasn't refused any food since. I feed pre-killed, haven't switched to f/t so I can't really lend any comment to your method of thawing.
