Heh... Good for you. My husband is OK with me getting more snakes, gradually, but HE doesn't initiate purchasing one.
Did you try a sauna for the bad shed?
Also, if you do get a UTH, make sure you hook it up to a dimmer and have a thermometer monitoring it... Some of the ones in stores can get really hot, hot enough to burn your snake if it is not controlled properly.
Just a suggestion, but if you think it's likely that you'll get a few more balls, you might not want to spend too much on this setup (other than necessary heat, etc.) and invest in a rack system before you get another snake. I am going to be getting my first rack soon and wish I had done so earlier. AP (animal plastics) and cserpents make good racks.
A rack will allow you to run several tubs off of a single thermometer channel / probe, so more efficient and more space-saving than having tanks everywhere. Works best if you're keeping multiple animals of the same species or that need the same temp requirements.

Yes I have thought of a sauna. and read &watch a few videos, and lol I'm afraid to drown/or stress him too much (I've never done it befor and soaking your snake seems to come with as many warnings as popping your fist snake )
and yes i think I'm going to look into a small rack. if my husband truly wants a bumblebee morph and I would love to have a piebald and/or tsk axanthic someday, your right it's probably best lol on top of I still would like a corn snake or two lol so If i can find a small rack that holds 6-7 large tubs I'll be set

When I've done a sauna, I put paper towels that have had hot water run on them (so they're very wet and warm) in a small tub, put the snake in (with the lid on and air holes if it's air tight) and let him sit for about 30 mins - 2 hours... If the tub is small enough, you can sit in their tank so they stay warm. I also put a rock or piece of wood in with them to rub on. This has always worked for me and won't drown the snake.
Also, btw, I meant that a rack would run on one thermostat channel, not thermometer in my earlier post. Check out this video It compares the herpstat 1 (herpstat's lowest priced one channel thermostat) with VE's VE200. Both of these are popular proportional choices. The VE200 is a little cheaper, but the herpstat has more features. If you are considering getting a rack, one of these would be a must.

Re: I'm brand new!
Hey.....not a lot to add other than encouragement to rehome a snake. We got ours off CL...snake and full set up...and are going strong. Good luck.

I'm happy to hear that he's doing well, and that your setup seems to be working out for you. Once he gets settled in, you'll have to post some pics of him.

Nice pics! you can really see a difference between the ones with the stuck shed and the pics you took after (when he's in the tank). I hope he continues to do well for you.
