    I would go with an infrared heat lamp. I like the Zoo-Med Nocturnal Infrared lamp.

    Aspen is more or less humidity neutral, coconut fiber will boost your humidity significantly if kept damp. I prefer coconut fiber. If you do get coconut fiber I would recommend getting it in the uncompressed bags vs the compressed bricks. The bricks have a lower quality product in them.
