I can still tell the substrate is drying out though, but not as quickly. I use EcoEarth. Was thinking about covering up more of the screen top, since I have only covered about half of it.

The "Zoo Med HygroTherm Humidity and Temperature Controller" was recommended alongside the humidifier so I'm thinking about getting that as well, might keep it more humid.

Does anyone else have one/have thoughts about the product?
i have one. i bought it a week after i got my BP because i realized the humidity was almost nonexistent while i was at work. misting before/after work didn't cut it.
i do have to say that i had to do two exchanges on mine. the first one couldn't control the output; it was on max setting regardless of which way you spun the knob. the second one buzzed so loud you could hear it clear across the house even with the door closed. every now and again this third one will buzz but i learned to ignore it and it stops after a few seconds. it seems like a common problem since the reviews on amazon consisted of the same defects i had.

the one liter bottle that it came with lasts almost a week for me, but there are so many factors that might affect that.

i have the exoterra dual outlet timer but i finally decided to switch to a digital one. 15 minutes is way too long to have the fogger running in my tank. my poor BP looks like he's suffocating. with the digital timer i set it to go off for five minutes every half hour (i'm in the desert so zero humidity all day). bought mine here: http://www.grainger.com/product/LEVI...rchQuery=6PFY4 i originally wanted this one: http://www.grainger.com/product/TORK...rchQuery=6WPA0 but it was gonna take a day to get and i wanted instant gratification.
