Would it be wrong if I just put the unplugged and cooled off computer cooler in the cage and see if he figures out how to slither out of it later?

Yep. That's exactly what I would do. I wouldnt worry about it too much.

My Albino boy squeezes himself between the glass and splash in his terrarium but always gets out.
