Looking for some advice and sugestions

So I dont post on here much, mostly just lurk! Well I'v deciced that I want a corn snake for my first snake. I have spent lots of time reading about the care and husbandry. I feel confident that I can handle all that. My biggest concer is heat, not on what kind I need. More what combo of them I should, use if any? I have a 20 gal tank that I want to use. I figure I will use a UTH on my hot end, simple enough. The problem comes in to play now. I dont control my ambient temp in my house. I have wood heat and cant really monitor it while im at work. So, Big question, should I use a a low watt lamp as well on a thermostat? Could I use 2 UTH's with thermostats. one set for the warm end and one set for the cool end? I know that UTH's dont have much of a effect on ambient temps. But would just the belly heat be enough? I'm sure I will be asked what my house temp stays at, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I would say it does stay in the mid 60's. I live on the nor cal coast so not to extreme one way or the other as far as weather goes. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hello fellow California native! I'm in the SF Bay area, so not quite as cold as you, but during the depth of winter my house can drop to the mid to high 60s.

Every single corn I own is on belly heat alone. What I will do sometimes to give them a 'warmer' area is to take a half-log or piece of cork bark, place it on the warm side right above the UTH, and make a cave with several inches of substrate over it. The ambient temperature inside the cave is warmer than the rest of the house and they do great.
