    Mya In Blue :)

Well after reading 'The Shedding Process' I can confirm Mya is in Blue.

I had noticed her belly getting pink and her colouring was looking dull/had an oily blue tinge the other day.

I was going to get her out last night but as I moved her hide she seemed far more concerned than usual, then I thought I saw a slight clouding to her eyes. Suspecting shes getting ready to shed, I just put her hide back and left her alone.

This morning when I was changing her water, she popped her head out to see what was going on and I think it's safe to say my suspicions were right.

    No denying those eyes!!!

Her colour is really dull too.

I'm so excited to see her freshly shed and get some pics!! Sometime next week maybe? #excited!!!!

Yep. It takes about a week or so.

Make sure during this time you bump the humidity to about 70. Or what I do is buy moss from my local reptile store, wet it and stick it in their cave. Then I just mist it every other day so it stays damp.

    Re: Mya In Blue :)

Well Mya shed yesterday Unfortunately it wasn't a complete shed:

I therefore had to give her a bit of help with the back half. Warm soak and moving through a damp flannel in my hand seemed to do the trick I love the shiney new out of the box look!!
I'm in love with her colours n markings, especially the brown on her head

I think she looks bigger already!! Definitely chunkier!!

Managed to get a snap of her taking a little drink too

Lovely! I love the visible growth between sheds, both of my girls are on the verge right now. Nessie's head is almost disproportionate at the rate it grows compared to the rest of her chub, and Izzy has definitely gotten longer since her last shed, so she almost looks crunched up in her own skin.
