    Herpstat 2 question

Is it safe to only monitor the temp with the herpstat probes only? My setup has a probe from the herpstat in each hide box along with a separate thermometer probe . I would like to do away with them if I can . Thanks

If the probes are actually inside the cage then yes. You will however need to check that the herpstat probes are where they are supposed to be on a regular basis.

I have to say absolutely not. Two sources for safety purposes

Ok I do have a temp gun already . I will probably just move the temp probes out of hides and keep the herpstat probes inside
