My new rescue
This is the young ball I picked up yesterday after she was abandoned. She likes to try and bite which is a new experience for me, never met a defensive ball before. She did take a small mouse today, I'll give her a week and then start on taming.

Great job on the rescue, she is very pretty. Give her a good 14 days or so to settle in. Keep feeding if she'll take it, but I wouldn't start handling her too much for a while. I bet she settles right down in no time at all.

Thanks I had expected her to be in much worse condition but it appears she was taken care of decently. I am worried about how cold she was though, all she has was a small slightly warm heat rock and the heat was off in the house with temps around 35*.
All I have for food right now are F/T mice about the size of her head. I'll be getting adult mice next week but in the mean time, should I offer her multiples of the ones I have or is smaller meals the way to go for now?

No harm in offering her multiples. She'll either take them or not.

She is settling in nicely. I just took her out for a quick hold and she didn't strike or shy away at all. Think I might take her out for a soak tomorrow, the humidity here is really low and she looks a bit dried out.
