Breeding females break?
Just wandering, how much of a break do you give females in between introducing males?
I know for males it's 3 days on 3 days off, if the lock before the 3 days take them out when finished.
But never really see anyone post about how long they give females a break?

We place males inside female tub sunday night then pull the males thursday night. Feed on saturday and repeat process until march. If the females are not locked then they using any energy. Meaning once the male is done then that is actually when her break starts unless the male gets it again before thursday night!

Re: Breeding females break?
I typically try for males in for 3 days and out for 4. Then I rotate the male to the next girl in the line up. I tend to breed males to 1-4 females depending on his age, experience and condition. So some females may not be with a male for 3-4 weeks depending on how many he's breeding. Males that only see 1-2 females obviously see each other more frequently. Most of my males tend to eat throughout the breeding season, so I don't really need to worry about over extending them. Hope this helps, good luck.

Females get paired about every 2 weeks here.

I shoot for one lock per month starting in Nov and ending in May.

I try for every 2-3 weeks for pairing females. Once a month at a minimum.
