Lavender Albino Lines
I try to get a little bit more Informations about the different Lavender Albino lines. How many are out there ? What line is the best ?
I know only the VPI line and the Ralf Davis / NERD line.
Are there really differences between this lines ? Or is it just like in many other ball python morphs - bad and good looking animals produced from both lines ?!
It's hard to find good pictures, because it seems difficult to get the colors from a Lavender Albino on a picture.....
As far as i saw the VPI line looks a little bit better, but i am not sure.
Could sombody help me
Regards
Andreas

Re: Lavender Albino Lines
There has been at least 8 different lines of Lavenders imported in the US and Europe. One breeder specializes in Lavenders but has not updated his site for years, take a look at www.lavenderalbino.com
As for the best lines, you get good and bad in all lines, get babies sired from a spectacular animal and you will then produce a higher percentage of spectacular babies.

I know the site from Grant Whitmer, but as you wrote, it's down.....
Maybe the barkers make always better pictures from their animals, thats why it seems they loook brighter and have more color...

Re: Lavender Albino Lines
I really don't think there is a whole lot of difference in any of them. Many think the key to getting darker purple seems to be using dark hets to produce them. I am planning on breeding mine to a sable and a black pastel when they get up to size. I think that should make some amazing lavenders.

I know it's an old thread but there were only a few responses and the search function brought me here so what they heck, figured I'd just bump it up and find out if anybody else has an opinion seeing as it's been a few years since the original asking. Any other input on the lavender albino lines and possible differences in the animals they produce? I'm looking to start a lavender project soon so any information would be appreciated. Thanks, John.

similar to John's response, the search function brought me here and this is something I am curious about as well, so I thought I would bump this back up and see if anyone had any more information on this subject. I am curious as to if anyone has worked towards producing darker purple lavender albinos by using darker hets. Any info appreciated!
