    need help fast

    My heat bulb blew last night went every where in my area looking for one and with no luck they wont get any till friday was gana order one but it wont be here till friday so heres my queation I have 60 watt light bulbs and I know they put outsome heat will it be ok to use one of those till friday when the pet store gets there truck dont wana turn his uth up and cause him burns what can I do couse when we just got him out he felt extremely cold so getting worried

    A regular light bulb should suffice until Friday. What are your hot spot and ambient at? Don't go over the rating of the ceramic lamp though which is typically 60w.

    Hot spot was only at 86 thats y I was getting worried and may be a dumb question but what do you mean by ambient

    86 isn't bad. Just monitor the temperature just in case. Ambient temps refer to the temperature of the air in the whole enclosure.

    Oh ok that makes sense and ment to say 76 but its up to 85 now

    What are you using to regulate your heat mat?
    You say "turn it up" and that makes me wonder.

    76 degrees is bad, 85 is getting better though but 88 to 90 is ideal.
