I have recently acquired a pewter ball python- less than a year old. I named him Milton and I simply love him. he just recently (sometime last night) finished the last part of his shedding stages. However, the shed did not come off in one solid piece and he seems to be having trouble getting the rest off. I raised the humidity hoping this would help. What else should I do? I read that i can give him a gentle soak in a bath; but what temperature should the water be? How long should I let him soak? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
I am a first-time snake owner (i have kept lizards and birds in the past) and I want to make sure I give him the best treatment possible. I don't even know how many caresheets I've saved to my files. But forums always seem to provide more detailed help.
