im guessing he is young right ? .. some of my snakes did this as well when they were young .. I watched one of my boys drag a rat around the tub for about 10 min one day till he figured out how to eat it .. I just sit and watch and laugh when this happens .. just leave the food in there and he will figure it out eventually .. its all a learning process for them to when there young
