Uth and lamp question
Hi guys, I've been having a problem with humidity, it's a glass tank and mesh top, I have a big uth so I decided to do away with the heat lamp and put a damp cloth on top to hold in humidity, it stays at about 50% all day, warm side is about 80 degrees and cool about 75, will the uth be good enough to warm her up only or should I continue using the heat lamp as well, the only problem is the humidity is gone in an hour using the lamp.

Your cage temps are really low. The warm side should be between 88-92 F and the cool side should be between 78-82 F
What are you using to measure temperatures?
Where is is located?
What is the temperature of the room that the cage is in?
What substrate are you using, and how thick of a layer do you have in the cage?

Of a few issues.
1. Your substrate layer is too thick for a UTH to work properly. It needs to be ½" thick or less.
2. Your thermometers aren't reading the temperatures in the right place. UTH's don't heat the air in the cage, only the surfaces that they are in direct contact with. This means you need a probed thermometer like this one:

The probe needs to go on the floor of the cage directly over the UTH.
What is your thermostat set to, and where is it's probe?
Based on your room temperature I think you should be able to get away with just the UTH.
