    Re: BRB setup

I know many people use the set up for the newspaper/paper towel... people have been very successful, I don't though. I use eco earth and repti bark mix with sphagnum moss; it keeps the humidity up well and he burrow's himself in the substrate. I do keep mine in a tub like yours. Mine is 100 qt. Its a longer so I need to use binder clips to keep the lid secure from any escape artists snakes.. I would suggest it if yours is longer too... (?)

I have 1 real hide.. BUT I have PLENTY of natural hides made by fake plants. (If you need to know how to make hanging hides just ask!). I found clearance fake plants at hobby lobby. One is like a bunch of leafy/mossy (thing) that lined the enclosure. Then I have hanging plants that make my brb really secure and a place to hang (he really does hang on them). He rarely uses the real hide. Some people also like to have a humid hid. It's filled with moss.

I have a big water over the heater to boost up humidity (make sure it is big enough so s/he can soak themselves.

Make sure you have a temp gauge for your heat pad and a thermometer and a humidity gauge. Make sure you have the temps and humidity at right.

I know this some of this may be obvious but no one else has replied so.... I just put all that I thought should be put down i guess.

If you have any other questions PLEASE ask! I hope you really like your brb when it comes in. I really like mine
