Definitely just let it be for awhile. It's had a shock, hopefully it will survive for you.
Let it be for one week, no handling, just water replenishment and spot cleaning. Then offer food, for something that small I'd go mouse fuzzy or rat pup. After its eaten a few meals, then start handling.
Little guy's been through a lot, so just let him relax and be a snake in proper temps, and he'll warm up to you.
