Hey guys. Its my first season breeding. I have my female and male in a 41qt tub. Hot spot 87. Cold 78. Humidity at 48%.
this is the first season for my desert pinstripe male aswell. And my female spider is a proven 10egg breeder.
Theyve been together for 3 days already and I havnt seen any signs of locking. Is that normal? I took them apart today and tried feeding them. The Female ate right away. And the male still refuses to eat. Is this normal?
Is there something I can do to make him want to mate?
thank you.
And sorry for the newb question!

(if he doesnt mate that is)i guess ill just have to keep trying! thanks again for the info!
Sugar Shane had this happen with his pied in the first year he bred him to his hets. Ended up with 17 eggs and 9 visual pieds. Just keep pairing and offering food when resting. However, there are some that just don't breed their first year. It all depends on the snake.
