    My first season - awesome pairings

    This is my first breeding season with ballpythons. I got my first ball one year ago in may, and I was stuck right away, from the very moment I held him for the first time I knew I was going in deep before I was done. Within the next few months I laid out a plan on what morphs I wanted to breed, what colors I liked and where to start.

    This is my pairings so far:

    Silver Lesser:

    x Bumblebee:

    Locked:

    Proven Het albino:

    With Albino male, locked:

    Spinnerblast x Awesome Spider, locked;

    The spinnerblast are also seeing the lesser male, but he is shy, she is skittish, and they didn't like each other very much. The young lesser wasn't self confident enough to get her going so to say, my spider on the other hand is 7 years old so he has no such problems, the lesser is only 1 year old.

    I figured it was better to breed her at all then to miss out on a whole season on her, she is a spinnerblast so I don't mind making some of those either.
    A queen spin would be nice though <3 She will be seeing more of the lesser now that she's not a virgin any more. Hopefully she won't be as skittish from now on.

    I also have an insanely nice butterfire male and a spinner female, both too small to breed this year though. A very exciting start non the less, I can hardly wait until the eggs get here! The het albino female and the bumblebee female both look huge! The het albino laid six eggs last year, the 3 year old bumblebee is a virgin (or was, rofl).

    Your lesser is fantastic. You do know that spider to spider is not exactly a great pairing tho right?

    Since when? That is completely false and until someone provides actual proof, as in clutch after clutch after clutch with poor results, then it will remain so. There has been NOTHING to point to spider x spider being a bad pairing and I have in the past done that pairing with no issues and have seen many other clutches from spider x spider with no issues.

    Well then you can go ahead and go for it until you get enough proof to satisfy youself. Ill be over here not producing lethal homozygous forms. Whatever works for you!

    Please show me one clutch that produced the "lethal" homozygous. Just one. It does not exist. It is purely speculation. As a matter of fact Kevin from NERD who first proved the spider gene and has more experience than anyone else with has come out and stated that spider x spider is in no way lethal.

    Spider to spider is not lethal. It can however make the offspring wobble more...
