    Newby wondering ... is she Gravid?



    We are new to the ball python world as a family and we came across a collection from someone struggling financially so we jumped on it. This normal female was being paired with the bumblebee already and they have locked a couple of times. She shed unexpectedly over night. She's brighter than I have seen her yet (is it glow? I've never seen this much yellow in her) and feels firm in the midsection (ovulation?). Opinions or advice please...

    From that pic there is no ovulation going on. You will know for sure when she is ovulating it will look like she ate a football. What is the time frame since you started pairing her up until today?

    This is our first breeding project and I'm not sure how to feel for them. I've seen it demonstrated on video but Obviously you don't get the true feel for it that way. I'm not sure how firm to squeeze her, etc. She does feel very firm about 2/3 of the way down her body.

    When was the last time she ate and when did you last offer food?
