New pied recommandations
Ok so i got a new pied female today and she must have had a stressful day picked her up at repticon, and drove 3 hours home then got her acclimated to her new tank, before i put her in she was amazing and i had to take her out so i could move the hide to the left side and woah baby was pissed i had her out and she was striking at everything full fledged striking non stop she was pissed i let her calm down for a minute to show her striking doesn't get her put away but then i put her back bc of this stressful day, poor baby, so how long should i not bother her for? bc my last BP i got i could pick him up and he never even struck once.

I generally do not touch a new arrival for at least 2 weeks unless cleaning. Also please remember to follow proper QT with the new one. Oh and pics or she doesn't exist.

people will tell you to wait 4-5 days to let the snake get used to their new home, but I have a hard time doing that. I only waited 2 days with my fire. She was very nervous at first and hissed every time I reached for her, but now she is super tame and seems to like to be out of her bin.

I think it depends on the snake. Most of my snakes I am handling the next day, and that has a lot to do with me being paranoid that all new snakes are sick, so I am constantly checking them for the slightest indication something is wrong. But there are always those few that are going to take a long time to settle down. I have a pastel adult female that has never really "settled down", and to this day I can barely handle her without getting tagged. If she is very aggressive right now I'd say give it 4-5 days to let her settle a bit, then try handling and if she is still upset leave her for a week. Pretty much play it by ear, and be prepared for the possibility she could just be one of those snakes that never takes to being handled. However, I doubt it. I'm pretty sure she's just really stressed and will be fine with some time to acclimate herself to her new home.

My pinstripe still hisses and strikes at me and he has been with me for a few months now. He is getting better but sometimes it takes some snakes longer.

haha I had a baby girl pied like that too. got her at 97g at a show. From then until she hit about 500g she would strike at the air every time I opened up her enclosure. Then all of a sudden around 500g she chilled out. Ever since she has been cool. Some babies are just like that.
For you, if you can, leave her alone for a week or so. She might just be doing it cause she is stressed or she might just be like that. I've had several nippy babies, but they all have chilled out as they got older.

Baby BPs can be very nippy. It's their defense mechanism because they are so vulnerable at this stage. Add in the stress of being at a show, and a long car ride and I would be nippy too. Heck I would probably try to "kill" anything that came near me lol. Give her a few days. Don't really mess with her except to check on her and spot clean. Black out as much of her enclosure as you can. I used a lightweight black sheet for mine and see how she is in a couple days. Try also after a few days to feed her and see if a full belly calms her down. Just don't take it personal if a few days doesn't calm her. Just give her time. Also I like Medusa lol. Good luck with her.

Haven't gotten any good pics yet , these r thru the bag. She is way to Feisty for pictures tonight I've never handled a ball python that moved threw my hands so quickly while striking she is fast and beautiful ahhh I love her and her little attitude makes her so much cuter
