    Aside from the fact that it was a joke, your response is completely incorrect. The AK47 and its variants are THE most widely used action on the planet, and with VERY few exceptions, they're illegal in CA. I'm not even talking about select fire. As a matter of fact, there was a bill put on the governor's desk recently that would have outlawed semiautomatic rifles entirely. If they're willing to ban an entire class of firearm, banning a single model is nothing. And for the record, there are quite a few configurations of pump action shotguns that are already illegal, regardless of whether they're 870's, Mossberg 800's, or Winchester Defenders.
