HELP my uth pad won't stop heating up
I set my hydrofarm for 88 and the probe is attached to the bottom if the uth. It just keeps heating past the set point. Sorry for all the posts but I do not want to kill my snake so I want to get this figured out or not use the uth at all.

Put the probe in top of the UTH directly on the glass, hot glue works well for sticking it on, and it's easy to get off glass if you want to move it.
What brand of UTH are you using? I know with the zoo med ones the bottom doesn't nearly as hot as the top.

And I believe zilla. I just never realized that there was an outlet attached to the thermostat. This whole time I was trying to figure out how it would work and now I know. Wow I feel stupid but I'm going to blame it on being tired haaa

Re: HELP my uth pad won't stop heating up
So you plugged the UTH into the wall directly and plugged in the T-Stat and placed the probe?
But no UTH plugged into the T-Stat?
Lol that's a good one!

Yeah. Dumb. I know. I'm having a long morning. I even dumped my coffee grounds out on the sink instead of in the garbage so I'm just a little bit out if it. I fixed everything now though.

Hey I had a friend do that when setting up his rack. I got a panicked call around 10 pm because he couldn't figure it out. Fortunately he was testing it before moving his snakes to their new homes.
