I have been struggling with keeping humidity to proper levels. I am running a 20G with foil over the top with a CHE and a UTH. I mist a few times a day and have a large bowl of water. Humidity keeps creeping down. My snake spends most of the time in its warm hide and I should have misted the hide but I didn't want to distrurb my snake during shed (I am new to snakes and its a baby). He looks crispy so I soaked him today for a few minutes and submerged his head. I noticed a small stubborn piece of skin on the eye. It looks partial and not a full eye cap. Only one is stuck. I tried gently brushing the eye with a moistened que tip to no avail. I made sure to be extra careful. If I bump up the spraying efforts should this piece come off on its own?

Gently using a moistened que tip as I had tried is safe right? After all the eye is still protected by that stubborn piece of shed. I didn't try too aggresively.
