This has to be true then. have I have 2 females that I switched to ASF out of neccessity(had a die off in my feeder colony and ASF was all that was available)I have sworn those 2 have grown better since. Seeing this thread just verifies it for me.

My rat supplier also breeds ASFs. I have been mixing them in a little bit. I was a little worried about them not wanting to go back to rats, but have had no problems with that. I hope I get the growth results that you are seeing.

ETA: She seems to gain anywhere from 40-70g of empty weight per feeding. I was worried it might be too fast of a gain, but the exotic vet checked her over (we had a follow up after a previous visit) and said she looks fine, so I'm just going to go with it.
Having only recently switched to rats, It's not practical to switch again at the moment. I'm DEFINITELY thinking ahead to it though.
On a different note, was the previous vet visit due to a problem, or were you doing a check up? Not that it matters at all, I'm just curious.
