Who's Breeding Specters?
I'd like to get one but I don't see them for sale very often. Anyone know where I can find one?

i guess one problem is:
people that really work with these genes are after the super forms, or the combined super forms.
so people have their ivory females, and then they breed a super stripe or a combo containing specter or a spark or a highway to them. in all these cases, you get super stripes or super stripe combos or highways or pumas, but when it comes to single-genes, only yellowbellys pop out of the eggs.
the market for super stripe is much bigger. i think noone is intentionally aiming to produce specters. you can easily find specters (with extra genes), when you search for super stripe. or super specter.
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it. If you disagree, send me a PM.
The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.

Re: Who's Breeding Specters?
I have a specter. Planning to breed him to my citrus yellowbelly in hopes of super stripe, but that combo also means I could get more specter. I haven't paired them yet, but planning to go ahead and do it soon. If you are still looking at that point. ...
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Re: Who's Breeding Specters?
My specter male is up to size, but isn't taking much interest in the ladies. It's his first year though, and it seems like year two is always more productive with my males. I've got a yellowbelly, a pastel yellowbelly, and a black pewter yellowbelly waiting in the wings for him.
The thing about specters is they are tough to tell apart from normals. There aren't a lot of definite signs to give them away as specters. So my guess is people have been reluctant to breed them for fear of selling normals off as specters and specters off as normals.
I got lucky. The breeder I got Forge from guaranteed that if he wasn't a specter he would either give us a breeding specter from his collection or refund our money.
Deals like that help make the specter less risky, but let's face it. You may lose two years of a snake that doesn't have the right genetic stuff.
