I will say 150g/month is about average for here, although not being unheard that 300g+ a month is out of the range of possibilities. An underfed bp will eat like that given the chance. She will probably crap out 200g pretty soon..

Big, hungry, aggressive females that strike prey within seconds will get a medium rat. The rest get smalls..... sometimes 2 or 3 smalls. Out of ~40 big females there are only 4-5 that are aggressive enough that I will throw in a well fed and watered medium rat. If a medium rat nips your great eating female, watch her go off feed for a month.....

I have plenty of medium and large breeder rats that I cycle through. I do not feed them off to the collection. They get traded in to the local shop for smalls. Plenty of boa people out there to feed off medium and large rats to.

I don't mind doing a reconnaissance mission on a small rat that was not taken by a bp, but try taking a scared medium rat out of a V-70 tub with a big pissed off female bp. It can get messy....
