Yes, as previously stated, you're going to want to go between the scales and you'll want to achieve a very small angle 45 degrees or less. You can't just go right in like you could on a larger animal. You will definitely need a second person to help you. Even he most docile BP is going to thrash pretty violently to get away, and you don't want them to thrash and break the needle off or stab something important (I.e. The lung). You'll want someone to put pressure just behind the snake's head and a few inches past the point you will be injecting. They will need to hold the snake well enough that he or she can't move, but obviously you don't want to hurt the snake.
