We were worried about her ears when we first got them done. But they turned out better than expected.

She isn't from straight working lines. She's from a show line that has working dogs in the pedigree. We weren't ready for a crazy driven working line dog. So we settled for some middle ground. She has enough drive to work, but is not so high strung and is calm enough to be a house pet.

Our next future dog will most likely be working line. Although there isn't very many choices here in the US in regards to traditional working bred dobermans. There are less than a handful of kennels around.

I can definitely vouch for the craziness of a working bred dog!! I agree that they can be way too much for anyone who isn't looking for that level of drive specifically. Your girl sounds like she is working out great for what you were looking for, and seems to have both working ability and really great looks! I really like her!

I've noticed the same when it comes to working bred Dobermans - I remember looking around for breeders years ago and got a few recommendations for Landgraf, but that was it. I like the American show lines, too, and probably even prefer their overall structure, but it'd be nice to have more options!

    And nice picture and grip!
