    timid spider

So i have a new spider ball and he is very timid and he dose have a wobble. He is very nervous he has stuck at me twice. Never made contact with my hand just hit it. It make me a little nervous. I have read that you just need to handle them more. This is my first young one. He is old 14 weeks or so I was told. I just want know if it is common to have a jumpy spider?

    First of all:

All babies are jumpy. They are very, very small and you are very, very large. If he's striking but with a closed mouth, he's bluffing to try and get you to go away. Handling babies does make them better, makes them realize you are not a threat to them. Perfectly normal

    Re: timid spider

Ya I got spoiled by my first two.they are three and two, always busy . I got so use to them just being where ever and not scared of any thing. I just got worry with the spider having the wobble which is so cute and him being defensive that it might be something that was just natural to them. Since I hear they great hunters.

Spiders are notoriously good eaters as far as BPs go, as long as they can strike. Must be that will to prove that their wobble doesn't make them less of a snake. Anthropomorphism aside, just let your little guy settle in, and remember that he believes you are going to eat him.
