I got seven new rats for future breeders! :D

After a long time of searching for a good rat breeder to give me some rats (never found any...) I settled for some baby rats for a good feeder breeder. I'm pretty happy with what I got.

I got three does and four bucks. All are dumbos except one. The one standard ear is a champagne (pink eye) buck. Out of the six dumbos I have a rex coat bareback agouti buck, a self agouti buck, a self beige? (He is a tan color with dark ruby eyes) buck, two blue-beige? bareback does (they are creamy tan with a slight blue hue and dark ruby eyes), and one beige? bareback doe with dark ruby eyes.

I didn't really intend to get more bucks. I honestly was just picking based on appearance and personality and then I looked at the genders after I got in the car to see what I had.

Its no issue though.. I may be getting 3 girls from a pet rat breeder soon.

Now I just need to decide on names for the little ones...
1 Husband, 1 Western Hognose Snake (male), 2 ferrets (2 females), 1 male jungle leopard gecko, 4 gerbils (2 females & 2 males), 1 male dwarf rabbit, 3 guinea pigs (1 male, 1 female and 1 female skinny pig), 2 American parakeets, 2 cats (male bobcat hybrid and a male Egyptian Mau mix), and 2 dogs (female Mini Dachshund and a female Alaskan Malamute).

Well.. these aren't the best quality, but I took these with my phone right after I got them (hence why we're in a car). I'll take some better pictures later.

Here ^ is the rex bareback agouti boy. I was trying to show his curly whiskers... but I failed terribly.. I hate using a phone as a camera xD

    ^The rex agouti boy again.

Here ^ is the standard ear champagne hooded boy with the dumbo agouti self boy.

^ The standard ear champagne boy.

^ From front to back: beige? bareback doe, standard ear champagne boy, self agouti boy, rex agouti bareback boy.

^Self agouti buck playing piggy-back with the standard ear champagne buck.. with one of the blue-beige? does in the background.

^ And this is the self beige? buck.

I can see them... And congrats! I wish I had that many options when I got mine. I'm glad you'll be breeding your own soon. It'll be a while before I breed yet and I may be looking for more females to give me more color options (unless I want all blue / white dumbos). You should get a lot of dilute colored rats with those genes... So jealous!

    Oh I love blues

I still have to get more pictures of them. I'll get some tonight and add them tomorrow (if I have time.. I might have to help my mother with a cake.. We decorate cakes and someone requested one from us).

The standard ear boy is really interesting.. His head is very light champagne, almost white. You can just barely tell it isn't white by comparing it to his body. And then he has the stripe going down his back and it gradually gets darker. The mid part of the stripe is the same color as the beige boy and girl, and then right at his tail its almost brown. It reminds me of a color gradient. lol
I'll have to get a good picture that shows it.
